Summers officially here and although we have passed the longest day of the year there is still plenty of time to get out and about and meet a whole new bunch of great new friends who like what you like and what to do what you want to do.  That’s the best thing about City Socialising; every member is so different that there is always someone that you will get along with !!

Its not all about drinking and partying it about enjoying the city we live in with some of the great people that live in it. Over the next 4 weeks we will be doing all sorts : Cocktails, Pub Quizes, Sunday Lunches, Comedy Nights, Japanese Restaurants, Discos and Dancing, Curry Nights, Sewer Tours, Games in the park and a whole lot more .

We also bring you a special treat and that is the July Big Party – the Mass Mingle – a great way for new and old members to mingle, chat , giggle, laugh and make new friends all within a big social function where the music wont be too loud and the company will be friendly. Always our most popular events , are you coming ??

But if you are new and a little too nervous for a big bash then come along to one of our New Members nights its always a chilled relaxing evening and full of laughter and I will always be there on hand if you feel a little lost or want to ask any questions.

So what are you waiting for? Come along to CS, check the calendar and join others making new friends.

See you soon.

Zara – Brighton Community Manager

Get ready for our next big City Socialising Mass Mingle party !!

With the scorching weather and the drizzly rain we have still managed to have some cracking fun at our socials. Even some of our oldest members still comment on how much fun they are having meeting new people and making new friends.

Brighton City Socialising has growth from strength to strength and we are always on the look out for great new venues and homely old ones to bring each and every member something fun and enjoyable that suits theirs tastes, and moods.

We have some old favourites like pub quizzes, drinks, Sunday lunches and dancing but there’s a little more spark than that to Brighton CS as we throw into the mix a bit of Brighton flavour. He you tried Cabaret Bingo, Sewer Walks, Duke of Yorks, Park Games, Bike Rides and a whole lot more? Look out for them on the calendar!

But none of this would ever be great without two important ingredients; all you guys, the new and old members and of course the special people that host all the events !!

So please make sure you get the best out of City Socialising.

If you ever have a question, interested in becoming a CS host, need help creating your own social, or you just want to say hi please get in touch on the site or email me at zara@citysocialising.com.

There really is no better time to get involved with City Socialising so why not come along to a New Members Night, they are every two weeks and the next ones Tuesday 14th June.

And don’t forget the next big mass mingle on 8th July, its going to be bigger and better than ever before !!!

Hope to see you on a social soon and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and add us as a friend on Facebook!!

What an excellent party we had on Saturday at the ever popular Mass Mingle. It was such a great way to meet new people and make new friends, I think each and everyone made at least 2 new friends and also made plans to meet and go to many other socials on the calendar.

City Socialising in Brighton has been growing from strength to strength in the last couple of months especially as we all like to go out more when the weather’s nice so make sure you give your social life a re-vamp in time for Summer and get along to the drinks, quizzes, barbeques, outdoor theatres, evenings pub gardens and of course Rounders in the Park.

There really is no better time to get involved with CitySocialising so why not come along to a New Members Night, they are every two weeks and the next ones this Tuesday.

So If you ever have a question, interested in becoming a CS host, need help creating your own social, or you just want to say hi please get in touch on the site or email me at zara@citysocialising.com.

I’m also very keen to find out what everyone’s favourite Bar, Club, Restaurant, Theatre, or Quirky Activity in Brighton & Hove is so please shed me some extra light incase we are missing out !

Hope to see you on a social soon and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and add us as a friend on Facebook !!

Happy Socialising from Zara your friendly Brighton Community Manager

City Socialising is the best place to meet new friends in and around Brighton and Hove.

We go out, socialise, make new friends, and generally have a good laugh.

Have you ever thought that your social circle could be bigger or that you just wanted to try some new things but unsure who might want to go with you ?

Well City Socialising can help with all of those things when you become a member and don’t worry it’s not mega expensive, you can even be a free member.

In the last few weeks we’ve had drinks, parties, bowling, theatre, comedy, meals out and over the next couple of months it will be packed even bigger… Cabaret Bingo, Brighton Festival, Barbeques, Games on the beach, Sporting events, Sunday roasts, Drinks and of course more Parties as well as so so so much more

So why not make sure you are part of the crowd and get involved in the action.. check out the website http://www.citysocialising.com/ and just see for yourself.

See you soon !!!

Brighton City Socialising is the place to be and if the sunshine being out isn’t a good enough excuse to get out there and meet more people in time for the summer then I don’t know what is …

We live in a great town where there is so much to do all the time, arts, history, performances, enough pubs in one street alone to keep you occupied for a week, the choices are endless. But what you need to make them great is fun, energetic, people that know what is what and where its happening. And that’s where CS comes in, we make sure your social diary is always full, giving you options of things to do or try almost every day of the week.

Its all about making new friends and having a laugh and it doesn’t matter if you just moved here and know noone or have lived here your whole life and want to add some new flavour to your social scene

Everyone is friendly, the drinks are always flowing and fun is always on the menu … so what are waiting for …. ???

Tis the season to be jolly fa la la la … ok ok so my singing isn’t that great but this year at Brighton CS certainly has been!!!

We’ve had movers and parties, walks, drinks, dancing, so much food (!) and we’ve even had mingles and jingles.. in fact so much has happened its hard to recount it all!

But obviously the best part without question has been the amount of amazing people we have all met during the past year, some of which I know I will be best friends with for many years to come.

I’m sure 2011 will be the best for CS Brighton, already we have our Monster Mingle lined up and ready to go in January (where you can bring a non CS friend if you like to show them how great CS really is!)  and there’s some great culture to be had at our museums and coffee mornings too. Of course there’ll be so much more, and as always, our members continue to create some of the best and most exciting Socials I’ve ever been to!

What makes Brighton CS so amazing is that not only are we mixing new out-of-towners with each other but we’re getting old school Brightonians in the mix too..like me, I grew up here. Being back in Brighton after several years abroad, I came back and found that many of my old friends had moved on, so I joined CS giving  me the chance to make new mates… everyday!

We want to make 2011 an extra special and  memorable year for you, so if you know of any places you’d like to visit or have any great ideas for socials, events or locations then let us know! I want to hear from you…or even better create it yourself on the site! And if you really want to enjoy the site at its fullest, why not think about being a new 2011 CS Host ? Please get in touch for more details

So without further ado and all that said there are only two things left to say;

1: If you’re at a loose end over the holidays then check the site, there’s loads going on!

2: And finally have an Amazing and fantastic Christmas!  May Santa bring you all you wished for!

Much love AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi Everyone

Zara here and I’m just settling into my new role as Community Manager for City Socialising Brighton and loving it.  I have been adding loads of great new venues for our actioned packed months leading into the colder winter season, so make sure you don your woolly hats and get out into the crowds and join us.

September sees the start of our great new under 30s socials as well as the Big free End of Summer Party.

Brighton & Hove has such a great cosmopolitan, funky, fresh and lively atmosphere, you can never be at a loose end as it caters for all. Those who like to sit by a log fire sipping merlot, partygoers till dawn, lovers of festivals of arts and music, pub quizzes on almost every corner and enough water sports to keep even the most dedicated enthusiasts enthralled.

Those of you already enjoying the CS network may like to consider their skills and become an official host as we always like new faces and ideas.

And for those of you that are new to us, we look forward to seeing you at our New Members night which is every other week on a Tuesday or Wednesday at the Pitcher & Piano, Brighton seafront. The next one is this week, Tuesday 14th September but you can always message new freinds and meet for coffee…

In the meantime look out for fun and frolics in the social diary and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook.

Have a groovy week in Brighton & Hove

Community Manager for Brighton

Here in Brighton it’s not just the beach that’s hotting up! Our Socials have been storming recently with the pick of the bunch being a fantastic international themed picnic at Pavilion gardens (featuring onion bajis and some naked bike riders 😉 ), and our classic pub quiz where we actually came 2nd!! Hurrah!

Very kindly the CS Brighton Quiz team decided to donate their £15 second prize to help sponsor fellow CS’ers in Brighton who were doing doing the Martlets Midnight walk in aid of Martlets Hospice, helping people affected by life limiting illness living in and around Brighton & Hove. A great performance for a great cause!

As well as that we’ve been eagerly following the World Cup as part of International Season at a great Brighton Venue – The Sidewinder. If you’re not booked on to see England V Germany book on now to be a part of history! You can also get top England tactics tips from Andy the host by looking at the comments board. Feel free to disagree!

And moving on from the football the final thing I want to say is to book onto the Big Summer Beach BBQ on Sunday 25th July. It’s going to be HUGE! Last year it was about 30 degrees and the best CS party I have ever been to! Get yourself booked on now!

See you next time.

Magical Brighton

March 19, 2010

Hi everyone, Miles here your Brighton Editor.

Another great week for CS Brighton. There was a great crowd who went along to the Table Magic night at the Regency Tavern on Tuesday. Everyone who went said they enjoyed it and no one has been reported back to me disappearing  in a puff of smoke! Phew!!

Coming up this week and next we’ve got some really fun Socials… definitely check out the CS Swapshop Social on Saturday the 27th with your chance to swap that pair of shoes for something cool, or maybe you’ve got an X Box game kicking about that you want to swap for a new one. The spirit of Noel Edmonds is with us at the Swapshop!

Looking much further ahead, do pick up your copy of the Brighton Fringe Festival Brochure as we’ll be featuring quite a few events during May, so start having a think about what Member’s socials you’d like to create around the Fringe and invite your fellow CS ers!

Oh and coming soon in April is the Brighton Big Free Spring Party! It’s going to be quite a night, first come first served on the limited places though!

Miles

Hi everyone,

Miles here, your Brighton Editor! Great to see so many faces at the Break Your Resolutions party at The Brunswick last weekend! I hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as I did and enjoyed breaking those resolutions…

Really looking forward to the Anti-Valentines pub crawl now. We’ve got a great site dedicated to rubbish Valentines videos –  check it out  if you haven’t! I love the dog!! Def worth booking your place – even if you’re coupled up, but as it says… just don’t nag on about the other half!

So much to look forward too this new year, and I think I’m right in saying the days are getting lighter, bring it on! Brighton people were never meant to live in the winter.. But you’ll be glad to know that we’ve got Socials happening whatever the weather including The best film you’ve ever seen at a pub that serves you drinks through Twitter or Bluetooth or texting! How cool is that!! It’s happening Tuesday 16th Feb and you definitely don’t want to miss that one!

Also I’ve been told that some registered members haven’t been on a New Members night yet??? Madness!! Come out with us and have a great laugh. So many people have taken that first step to coming along – don’t miss out!! Book your place now for next Tuesday 9th.

Oh and we’re very proud to have launched our CS Facebook page, add yourself as a fan now.

See you at a Social soon!

Miles

PS Wish the Karaoke guys the best of luck tonight!
