In the words of Inner City (for anyone that remembers that band!) we’re having big fun in Brighton at the moment! As the evenings draw in, it’s great to know that the spirit of the beach is still with us!
To start with we had our end of Summer party at The Latest Music Bar (formerly Joogleberry’s) a great venue that we’ll definitely be re-visiting again soon! A really cracking night with around 50 CS Brightonians keeping the spirit going well into the evening – at least 1.30am on a school night! Well done to the last group standing!
This month we’ve also had our first Taste Of Burlesque Social which was packed out and an amazing night – (even though being a Boy i wasn’t there!! ) just check out this from one of our members:
“Hi, This was by far the most fun night I’ve had for ages. Felt a bit nervous to start with, but soon got the hang of it as we were all in it together. I will need some real practice to walk in those heals!! Would love to carry on and learn some more as it definitely brings out the other side:)”
Don’t fear girls, if you missed this one there’s another taster booked in for Wednesday 28th October…book your place!
September also saw the highest number of new member’s we’ve ever had! If you’re a new member reading this, then make sure you start booking up your Socials as they’re starting to get full very quickly these days!! If you haven’t been to our New Members night yet, check out the next one that’s coming up on Tuesday 20th October
Highlights coming up for this month include the all new venue of The Sidewinder for the Pub Quiz - trust me it’s well worth going! The next one’s on the 14th October and also the Fantastical Brighton Treasure Hunt - you really don’t want to miss this one out – the date for your diary Sunday 25th October.
Well that’s it for now, phew! In the meantime check out all the debate that’s going on on the interest groups, and don’t forget to have a go at creating your own Social – it’s dead easy – Steve has!! Check out his Weekday trip to Sheffield Park Gardens..
Until next time..
